Amazing!

I've been looking into a new case for my MacBook Pro 15'' for quite sometime since my plastic case broke on the corner and refused to work properly ever since. I decided on getting a folio-style case and ended up having a hard time finding one since most folio cases are created for the MacBook Pro 15'' with Retina Display, which is slightly smaller.

I finally found this case on this site and, since I live in Canada I was amazed at how cheap the shipping cost was! (Roughly 6-8$). Shipping took roughly a week and a half, still better than some local shipping though!

This is a GREAT case, I HIGHLY recommend it to others! It fits nicely and is very soft!

Almost, but no Cigar. Ok, maybe a puff.

There aren't many folio-style laptop cases out there today, especially ones that fit the 15"+ macbook pro. I found some products from other retailers which although looked appealing, came with a grey suede effect front/touchpad-end pouch. Hands get about, they get dirty - that grey is going to turn black&brown in no time. No thankyou.

When I first stumbled across this little number the only thing that put me off was the neon green interior. I immediately fell in love with the rest though - a padded faux leather exterior with a glossy black finish giving it a really swish look.

The pouch gives off that professional look that, when i'm sitting in Starbucks (my base of operations), makes people look over and wonder what boy-genius incredible things i'm doing with my laptop and the free WiFi.

The magnetic clasp is brilliant too; I hate wrestling with poppers when you're trying to fasten something up in a rush. It's stronger than what it sounds like too - most people don't have faith in magnetic clasps - let me assure you this bad boy holds.

As my primary school headteacher always used to tell me, 'honesty is the best policy' - so with that in mind I have only 2 criticisms.

1. I realise that given its natural size due to the screens it's built for there isn't much more you could add to this folio case before it gets too big - that said, I think a 1 or 2 pocket slip-file would be brilliant (on the screen side of the case, obviously). Give us freelance professionals that little extra something so we can really take our work on the go (without needing another folder).

2. It's a big shame that Capdase doesn't produce this with different colour exteriors. If I could choose - I would have had red.

With that in mind I want to finish on the note that although the neon green interior might seem to detriment the professional faux leather bravado of the case, and in some cases add a little 'snob' factor to it - when the laptop is sitting comfortably inside it - it actually adds a powerful edge that just makes you look & feel that little bit cooler.
