Many people look around for a great laptop sleeve 13″, trying to find the one that is perfect for them. Sleeves differ quite a lot from a standard laptop case, in the way that they are often depicted as not offering as much protection or style. However, there are now a few new brands here at GearZap that certainly break the mould.

Firstly, we are going to consider the ColcaSac.

The ColcaSac has recently become very popular, with more and more people discovering its hidden beauty. Stylish design often comes with the setback of lack of protection – but not the ColcaSac. The ColcaSac’s thick padded inner lining grips onto your laptop or MacBook tightly keeping it free from movement, and the velcro closure ensures security. Added to the style and protection is a bit of functionality – a front pocket that is just about big enough to store your power cable or adapter. Although the ColcaSac is typically a MacBook Pro 13 Case or sleeve, if you own a 13″ or 13.3″ laptop – it will be more than welcomed by it.

Secondly, we are going to look at Foof.

Foof are quite similar to ColcaSac in their designs, so there isn’t really much else to say about their excellent style and protection – but they do lack that front pocket, although this could be desirable to a number of people. Their stylish designs are hand made and the finish on them is second to none, showing that effort and hardwork can do an even better job than machinery. They are also made for MacBook and MacBook Pro – but once again, if you have a 13″ laptop it will do a really great job in protecting it.

Finally, we are going to look at Fabrix.

Fabrix are one of our favourite brands here at GearZap. Their range of unique designs are unrivalled – and they tailor for all needs. They have business orientated designs and stretch right up to the quirkiest and most ‘out-there’ styles you can possibly think of. Another great point about them is that they are laptop cases, not just MacBook (which differentiates them from Foof and ColcaSac). Similarly to ColcaSac, they do have a pocket – but it’s much larger allowing you to easily accomodate a charger or power adapter.

At GearZap we hear a wide range and variety of questions, but one of the most common questions that we receive is “what case would you recommend for my 13’’ laptop case?” or “what is the best 13’’ laptop case?” so we have decided to run through a list of our favourite and most recommended 13 inch laptop cases.

The first one that we are going to look at is the Zeroshock III for 13.3” laptops – a common size of laptop and is also the size of the MacBook and MacBook Pro 13”. This case will fit laptops from a size of 12.6 inches and up, and offers excellent protective capabilities whilst still looking incredibly stylish. The look of the case is considered very important to a lot of laptop owners, after all, who wants to spend a lot of money on a fancy looking laptop and then box it up in a bulky, lifeless case? No-one does, hopefully anyway.

The Zeroshock III case is available in black or white, and does a great job of protecting your laptop from scratches and damage whilst adding very little bulk and weight, making it easy to transport around either by hand or inside a bag.

The Capdase mKeeper is the next case that we are going to look at, and is available as a leather sleeve (with vertical and horizontal openings) and also as a standard laptop case in many different sizes.

The mKeeper is popular mainly due to its extremely low price point, something that is often linked with quality – however the quality hasn’t been spared on the design or the manufacturing of the mKeeper cases. Slimline design, high quality material and top finishing have turned the mKeeper into a force to reckoned with in the world of laptop cases. Again, this is available as a laptop case 13” and a MacBook pro 13” case.

We are now going to look at a brand new product of ours, perfect for if you are looking for a really unique laptop case.

This checkered case from Fabrix is one of the most unique cases that we stock, and its pattern is proving particularly popular with the younger generation – although some of our older customers are loving it too (and quite rightly so!). As the protection levels become greater, ultimately the bulk increases slightly – but the weight does not, meaning it is still really lightweight and easy to carry around on its own or in a bag.

The new Sony Vaio Z is taking the world of laptops by storm, being the thinnest and lightest netbook currently available on the market – even weighing less and being thinner than the MacBook Air.
