For many, the iPad can pretty much take over from the laptop or computer in terms of browsing, e-mailing and media viewing duties. But can you ditch your faithful computer altogether? Here are a few tips and suggestions on how you may be able to make your iPad your one and only.
Buy a Keyboard Case
Typing on any touchscreen for a long period of time can be a frustrating and inefficient experience but Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard cases are becoming slimmer, cleaner and altogether better. The Avantree Bluetooth Keyboard Case for iPad Mini and iPad Mini Retina is just an example of the reliable budget options available. The keyboard connects to your iPad wirelessly through Bluetooth and offers a full QWERTY keypad with a comfortable and familiar typing experience. Going for a keyboard case rather than just a standalone Bluetooth keyboard gives you the benefits of added protection and the ideal viewing angle, thanks to integrated stand functions and often all-round front and back protection.

Remember when you were a child at Christmas and even though you were lucky enough to get the toy you really really wanted that year you still played with the box more?
Adults love shiny new toys – and kids are no different – so it’s inevitable that they’ll want to get their grubby little mitts on your tablet, download Angry Birds and play it till the cows come home. As there are sure to be thousands of tablets wrapped up under the tree this year how do you ensure you actually get to use yours?
1. Disguise it
Ok, so I guess this one is a long shot. When they realise BBC iPlayer is coming from a previously innocuous looking black book they’ll know something isn’t quite right. Book style cases are available for pretty much every device and can give your tablet a sleek low-profile with a touch of anonymity. The beautiful DODOcase range for the iPad Mini and the Mini Retina - which is handcrafted in San Francisco using traditional book binding techniques – offers a classic minimalist style which is sure to keep the youngsters away (Click the image to see the DODOcase for Google Nexus 2 2013). If you want to take it a step further and really confuse then maybe this Klevercase is more your bag.

At GearZap, we are proud to always offer the newest products for the newest devices. However, just because something isn’t new, it doesn’t mean that we don’t still pay it its fair share of attention. The iPad 2 from Apple is still absolutely flying off the shelves at its new price – and so are our iPad 2 cases and iPad 2 accessories.
Our ranges of popular cases for the iPad 2 are seeing particular success with stock levels remaining extremely high due to the release of the iPad 3 – and most cases are compatible with them both.
We are happy to say that whilst our focus has been turned temporarily to the iPad 3, we will still be offering our 200-plus-strong iPad 2 case range to all of our customers.
One case for the iPad 2 has been particularly popular in the last few weeks has been the KeyCase Folio Deluxe:
The KeyCase Folio Deluxe was popular for the iPad 2, and has become even more popular now that it is compatible with both the iPad 2 and the new iPad (iPad 3). The case allows you to protect your iPad device well from scratches and damage but also allows you to type with ease on the comfortable keyboard with palm rest that folds out. The outside of the case also looks extremely professional, complementing your iPad 2.
What’s also great about the KeyCase is that whilst it gives you 100% protection, it still allows you to use your iPad 2 or iPad 3 whilst it remains inside the case, meaning you don’t need to remove your device from the case at any point – even to charge it! The keyboard inside the case also can be recharged from any USB port meaning you won’t need batteries.

With the launch of the new iPad (iPad 3) just last week, we are getting numerous requests asking what the best new iPad cover is – well here is the solution: a round-up of our favourite new iPad covers.
The Cygnett Lavish in a delicious ‘earth’ purple gives great protection to your iPad 3 and utilises the iPad auto-sleep/ auto-wake function. The Lavish is also compatible with the older iPad 2, but is a perfect fit for them both. The soft microfibre interior ensures that your iPad 3 picks up no scratches whilst inside and the case is finished with a multi-level viewing stand meaning you can always get a comfortable viewing angle.
The Jivo Executive Buckle case is compatible with all three versions of the iPad, and is extremely unique and stylish. Made for both men and women, this case redefines fashionable cases, and is one of the most stylish iPad 3 covers that we have on GearZap.
This Union Jack designed new iPad sleeve ensures style and sophistication, as well as a strong hint of patriotism. Made from an extremely high quality leather style material, this Orbyx union jack sleeve is a million miles away from the tacky nature of most things patriotic. The sleeve design means your iPad is fully accessible when it is not protected, and there is also a pull-tab feature which allows you to easily remove your iPad and also secure it when not in use.
The Bubble Padded Sleeve is a universal tablet sleeve which is a perfect for the iPad 3rd gen. It is one of a whole host of new iPad accessories that we have added to the website over the past few weeks, and we are expecting to add a whole lot more as time progresses. The bubble design of the sleeve ensures that your iPad will receive adequate protection should you knock it or drop it whilst inside the case, and it will also keep your favourite Apple device safe should you transport it around inside a large and busy bag.
The KeyCase iPad case with keyboard is one of our most popular products ever for the iPad, and has been a best seller since it was first released in a lower quality version for the original iPad. The portable nature of having a protective case as well as a fully functioning full QWERTY keyboard that automatically pairs with your iPad every time it is turned on make it stand out compared to other standard iPad cases. What’s more, it also has a stand for comfortable viewing whilst you type.
That brings an end to our round up of our new iPad cases. We have loads, loads more on our website, and you can see them by visiting our iPad 3 case page or by checking out our full range of iPad 3 accessories.

At GearZap, we have been working extremely hard to find the perfect range of new iPad accessories, so that our loyal customers are able to find the exact products that they are after.
Although exact button placements are not going to be confirmed until we can get hands on the device on Friday 16th March, we are 99% certain that the following products are going to work with the new iPad (iPad 3).
The PadStand 2 is an iPad 3 stand (as well as a stand for other versions of the iPad, and other tablets too) and is ultra small, and lightweight too. It is made from a rubber like material which will not damage your iPad but will stay sturdy at all times. Selling at just £9.95, the PadStand is affordable to all.
The ColcaSac Uintah is a brand new iPad 3 Sleeve that is added to our extremely popular ColcaSac range. ColcaSacs are made from all natural materials that are soft and cushioned, giving excellent protection to the device that they hold firmly inside. Compatible with all versions of the iPad, the ColcaSac is one of our most unique iPad 3 cases.
The STM Scout Extra Small iPad 3 bag, which can also act as a MacBook Air 11 bag, allows you to carry your new iPad as well as a range of new iPad accessories inside it as well, such as an iPad 3 stylus or an iPad 3 dock – depending on the size.
Power Support make the best screen protectors in the world – and what’s better (for Apple fans) – is that they only make their protective films for Apple products. Their screen protector for iPad 2 will actually work as an iPad 3 screen protector as the screen is exactly the same size (although not the same in style, with the retina display of the iPad 3 being one of its main selling points).
These are just a few of our iPad 3 accessories that will work from the iPad 2 range. Please check out our website for our full range of new iPad accessories, and order before 6pm for same day dispatch of your item.

Apple have just announced the new iPad, finally bringing an end to the constant rumours and speculation that have occured over the past few months.
At GearZap, we always like to stay one step ahead of our competition, and have already prepared categories on our website for the brand new iPad, and have a range of new iPad accessories that are already compatible.
New iPad Cases
We already have a selection of iPad cases on our website. This Orbyx Union Jack iPad case is expected to be extremely popular, just like it was for the iPad 2:
As well as softer style cases like the Orbyx one, we are also expecting to have an unrivalled new iPad hard case range.
The ColcaSac new iPad Sleeve is also expected to be extremely popular. ColcaSac products have been popular across the board, with ranges also in Kindle and MacBook as well as and previous iPad models.
New iPad Docks
This new iPad Dock also worked with previous models of Apple’s iPad, and also works with the iPhone. It holds your iPad securely in place and charges it at the same time.
Other accessories that we will be listing include an iPad car holder range, a new iPad charger range and a new iPad stand range.
