Until now it has been very difficult to buy 15.6″ Laptop Cases, Bags and Sleeves that are designed to fit 15.6” Laptops properly. This is largely due to the fact that case manufacturers have taken a long time to catch up with the new trend for 15.6” Laptops. In the past most 15 inch Laptops had a screen size of exactly 15.4 inches – this has now increased slightly to 15.6” in order to accommodate a 16:9 aspect ratio. This new standard is ideal for displaying video and movies in true cinema-like form, without the need for black bars at the top and bottom of your display.

Although the difference in size between a 15.4” and 15.6” laptop may not sound much, the latter is normally slightly wider with a shorter depth, this means that many older laptop cases and bags are not compatible with the new standard 15.6″ laptops.

The new range of 15.6” Laptop Bags and Cases includes brands such as Belkin, Tech Air, Krusell and Built NY. Although this range is set to grow as more case manufacturers get with the times.
